# Privacy

Short version: what you type stays in your browser.

## What you type into the tools

Word lists, clues, quotes, sudoku grids, letters and guesses are processed by JavaScript running in your browser tab. They are not uploaded, logged or stored on any server. Printing and PDF saving happen in your browser's own print window, and PNG and SVG downloads are created on your device.

## Links with settings

The makers keep their settings (and the words or clues you typed) in the page address after the # sign, so that a bookmark or a copied link rebuilds the same puzzle. Browsers never send that part of an address to a server. If you share such a link, whoever opens it sees the words in it.

## What is downloaded

Pages, styles, fonts and scripts come from this site. The word unscrambler and the five-letter word finder also load the ENABLE word list from this site; that request asks for a file and carries none of your letters.

## Analytics

The site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies or cross-site tracking. It never receives what you type into the tools. There are no other analytics, adverts or trackers.

## Cookies and storage on your device

The site sets no cookies. If you choose a light or dark theme, that choice is saved in your browser's local storage. A service worker keeps a copy of the pages and word lists you have used in your browser's cache so they work offline. None of this leaves your device, and clearing this site's data removes it.

## Network access

The site's Content-Security-Policy allows connections only to this site and to Cloudflare's analytics endpoint, so the pages could not send your words anywhere else even by mistake.

## Links to other sites

Links to sister sites, CleanTempMail and WebTraceCheck are ordinary links. Nothing is shared with them unless you follow a link, and then their own privacy terms apply.
